About the Authors
Eve Lederman’s books include Shag’s Zodiac:

Her business books include How to Get a Job in New York
and Careers in Advertising. She has discussed her work on
Good Day NY and WCBS radio and has lectured at bookstores
as well as universities.
After graduating from Cornell, Eve’s eclectic background
included undercover sleuthing with several detective agencies
and a volunteer stint in Fiji. She currently owns and operates
the Manhattan Proofreaders School, providing individual
instruction and corporate training. Eve and Faye recently
co-produced and directed A Good Uplift, a short documentary
about a bra shop on the Lower East Side. The film premiered
on the PBS series Reel New York in July 2004 and was watched
by more than 113,000 viewers. It has also screened at more
than 25 film festivals around the country including the
Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and Lincoln Center’s
New York Jewish Film Festival.
Faye Lederman graduated from Northwestern
University where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She
holds an MJ in documentary film from UC Berkeley’s
Graduate School of Journalism and is currently studying
at NYU. Faye produced an independent documentary film, Women
of the Wall, which screened at Lincoln Center and the Museum
of Natural History, and has been shown at more than 50 universities.
